Welcome to the Embrace Life web site.  My name is David Sokol and my goal is to provide you with useful information about the counselling and coaching work I’m involved in so that you can clearly understand the services I offer. 

As one of the few male counsellors in Sydney focusing on all aspects of loss (relationship breakdown, job loss, retirement, diagnosis of a serious illness, moving to live in a new area), and having supported my wife through her terminal fight with cancer, my training and experience can make your journey much less daunting. Whilst I also have many female clients, my male clients tell me how much easier it is for them to relate to a male counsellor.

I offer after-hours sessions in Sydney (just North of the Harbour Bridge) for my working clients, and I also offer sessions via telephone or webcam for metropolitan, regional and interstate clients. Call today to book a session, or just to chat about your situation.

As part of my volunteer work with the NSW Cancer Council I will be co-facilitating the “Living Well After Cancer” program in North Sydney on Saturday 14th May, in Bathurst on Saturday 21st May, and in Bondi Junction on Thurs 26th May; for cancer patients who have completed their treatment and partners/carers.
