Why the name “Embrace Life”? I hope that by working together you will discover a way forward through your current issues and enjoy new aspects of what life is offering you.

Before undertaking Post Graduate studies in Counselling I spent 25 years working in corporate management watching and caring for staff who themselves were facing difficult times, either in their work life or their personal life. My work, now, as a counsellor is perfectly consistent with the work I did in corporate life.

I have provided general counselling support and cancer counselling services to individuals, couples, and families. I have been part of the team at Petrea King’s Quest For Life program in the past, and presently I volunteer for the NSW Cancer Council as a co-facilitator in their Living Well After Cancer program. I speak the subject of “team counselling” at many Cancer Support meetings throughout the NSW, and I have been a referral source for the National Breast Cancer Centre’s “Boys Do Cry” initiative.

I have also been fortunate to be have been invited to speak at the NSW Breast Care Nurses Conference, the National Men’s Health Conference, and the National Men and Family Relationships Conference about the journey of the male partner of a breast cancer patient.

I have also been privileged to have facilitated several evenings in Blacktown with divorcees who are dealing with life after separation, and in 2010, as well as speaking at at Support Group meetings at Bankstown, Royal Prince Alfred, and Royal North Shore Hospitals, I delivered a half-day workshop to nursing and medical staff at Blacktown Hospital on engaging family members in the journey to death of a palliative care patient.
